Writing a Paragraph

Tell a fun story by practicing paragraph writing! This worksheet helps second and third graders learn how to organize their writing into a complete paragraph by coming up with a main idea and supporting details.

After choosing one of three topics—movies, summer, or mini golf—your child will write a topic sentence and three supporting details. Then, they’ll combine the main idea and details into a full paragraph.
