Write Equations From Area Models: Partial Products

Hone your multiplication skills with the helpful models in this worksheet! Students will be challenged to write the multiplication equation that matches the area model in each problem. The area models represent one-digit by multi-digit multiplication and include all of the partial products in the equation. Students will need to determine the two factors in the equation as well as the final product. 

This worksheet is a great option to get fourth graders started learning multi-digit multiplication. The area model is a comprehensible visual support that builds learners’ multiplication fluency and understanding of partial products.
