Carnival Math: Addition and Subtraction Word Problems

Students head to the carnival to score answers to addition and subtraction problems! Second graders learn to connect math concepts with real-world applications on this multi-digit addition and subtraction worksheet.

Students show their work in the space provided as they solve five separate word problems. Each math problem requires the use of either two-digit addition or two-digit subtraction to find the solution. Some of the questions use only two-factor equations. Other questions use three-factor equations.
