Winter Reflective Writing Prompt #2: Winter Solstice

Think about how daylight affects you with this fun winter worksheet! The winter solstice—the day with the least amount of daylight in the whole year—occurs during the winter season. This reflective writing prompt asks students to consider the effect daylight has on their mood and daily routine.

Intended for fourth through eighth graders, this worksheet gets students thinking critically about how they react to the changing seasons and the short winter days. While responding to this prompt, students can practice organizing their thoughts into cohesive paragraphs, describing emotions and events, and communicating ideas clearly.
