Watersheds of the Continental United States

Where does all the water in the United States go? Learn about some of the major U.S. watersheds in this fascinating science and geography worksheet! Students will first read a short introduction reminding them of what a watershed is. Then, they will look at a map of some of the U.S.’s major watersheds and answer a series of questions based on what they can learn from the map. 

This middle school worksheet was designed to teach students about an important part of the environment in the United States while also giving them practice reading a type of map they may not have seen before. Learners will both add to and draw on their existing knowledge of geography as they answer the comprehension questions.
