Worksheet

Verbs in Action: Past or Present #3

Don’t get tense when you see different verb tenses; practice identifying the past and present tenses in this engaging worksheet! First, learners will identify the action verb in each of 10 sentences and decide whether it is in past tense or present tense. Then, learners will write their own sentences in the past and present tenses.

Designed for third and fourth graders, this worksheet is a good choice for improving students’ understanding of the difference between verbs in the past tense and verbs in the present tense. As they gain confidence identifying verbs in both tenses, learners can strengthen their own writing skills.

Don’t miss the previous two worksheets in the series: Verbs in Action: Past or Present #1 and Verbs in Action: Past or Present #2.
