Turnaround Facts: Domino Addition

Flip dominoes around to learn about the commutative property of addition in this engaging worksheet! Each of these five problems will present students with an image of a domino. Young mathematicians will first need to write the addition sentence based on the order of the numbers on the domino. Then, they will need to flip the domino around and write a new addition sentence with the addends in the opposite order! 

Intended for first graders, this worksheet is a fun way to show students how the commutative property works—no matter the order of the addends, the sum will remain the same! As they complete this worksheet, learners will also practice their addition fact fluency.
