Worksheet

Symmetrical Shapes

A symmetrical shape has two halves that look like mirror images of each other. An asymmetrical shape has two halves that do not make a mirror image. In this worksheet, children must decide each of six shapes is symmetrical or asymmetrical. They then practice drawing a line of symmetry through a shape, and draw a symmetrical shape of their own. This worksheet, designed for fourth graders and other young learners, is an appealing, hands-on way to work with key geometry concepts.
