Subtracting From Ten on a Ten Frame: Write the Equation #2

Master subtracting from 10 with this helpful worksheet! In each problem, students will be presented with a ten frame and a partial subtraction equation. They will write the number being subtracted from 10 based on the number of crossed-out spaces on the ten frame model. Then, students will finish the equation by finding the difference.

This worksheet is a great choice to help kindergarteners and first graders work on their subtraction skills. Using the ten frames as visual models, students can gain a stronger understanding of both subtraction and place value. Learners can also practice decomposing 10 and build their fact fluency within 10.
