Sort -or and -ar

Sorting R-controlled vowel words won’t be hard with this inviting worksheet! Students will be asked to cut out the -or and -ar words at the bottom of the page, then identify whether each word contains the -or sound or the -ar sound. Then, they’ll paste each word in the correct category. 

This worksheet is intended for first and second graders and is a great resource for students learning about phonics and the different sounds vowels can make. They’ll work on their reading skills and practice noticing patterns in how -or and -ar are pronounced in different words.
