Smooth Reading #1

Reading is playing when you understand the story! Kindergarten and first-grade students practice their reading fluency with this smooth reading worksheet.

First, students read a short passage three times about playing at a park. Then, they color in a star each time they read through the whole passage. When they’re done reading, they color the picture that goes with the theme of the story to demonstrate their understanding of what they read.
