Silent Letter Digraphs: Cut & Paste #1

If you need a sign to practice silent letters, this is it! In this cut-and-paste worksheet, young readers are presented with 10 different words, each containing a different silent letter digraph: wr, gn, kn, or mb. Students will read each word, cut out the images at the bottom of the page, then paste the image next to the word it matches.

This worksheet will help first and second graders practice decoding and pronouncing words with silent consonants. As learners begin to recognize these unique phonics patterns, they will become stronger readers and writers.

Keep practicing with the next worksheet in the series, Silent Letter Digraphs: Cut & Paste #2!
