Short E CVC Words: Maze #1

Navigate a maze of vowels by following the path of short E words! Young learners will practice distinguishing between short CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) words with different vowel sounds. To solve the maze, they will color in only words with the short E sound, avoiding words with other vowel sounds. 

Young learners will need a solid knowledge base of different word sounds and word types to become strong readers. This worksheet is a great activity to support kindergarteners and first graders as they develop that foundational knowledge.
