Sensory Poem Template

Engage students' senses and inspire their creativity with this sensory poem template! Sensory language—descriptive words that relate to the senses—enhances writing and creates an immersive experience for readers. This two-page worksheet guides students to plan and write a sensory poem describing an experience. Writers will use the graphic organizer on page 1 to brainstorm the sights, sounds, smells, tastes, and physical sensations they will use in each of the three stanzas. Then, when they're ready, learners will use page 2 to write their final sensory poem about their chosen experience.
