Worksheet
Scale Drawings: Find the Missing Side Length #3
Discover the uses of scale drawings in this tricky geometry worksheet! In each of these six problems, learners will be presented with a pair of scaled shapes. Some of the sides of the shapes are given, but for each pair, there is one missing side length. Students will need to find the scale factor and use it to calculate the length of the unknown side.
Intended for a seventh-grade curriculum, this worksheet is a great way for students to practice finding the scale factor between corresponding sides of scaled shapes. Learners can find out for themselves that a scale factor less than one shrinks a shape, while a scale factor greater than one enlarges it.
