Repeated Addition on an Open Number Line: Find the Product #1

Enhance students’ number line know-how with this helpful worksheet! In each of six problems, learners will use the number line to model the repeated addition problem. Using the model, they will then write a matching multiplication expression and solve the equation. Students can also practice skip-counting as they find their way to the product!

This worksheet, designed for third graders, allows students to visualize the connection between repeated addition and multiplication. While young mathematicians are being introduced to multiplication, it can help to use a strategy they are already familiar with, such as using a number line.
