Worksheet
Reading Maps
Read the grid and answer the questions, if you dare! Introduce second graders to map-reading with this Halloween-themed Social Studies worksheet.
A Halloween picture is split into a 3x3 grid. Each square in the grid corresponds to a letter from A-C and a number from 1-3. In each square, a specific spooky element rests. Students read and answer four questions about where specific image elements rest in the bigger picture. The answers to the questions will be letter/number combinations.
Continue the map-reading lessons by introducing common map vocabulary words with the Learning About Maps! worksheet.
