Reading Comprehension: Excerpt Adapted From The Railway Children

This four-page reading comprehension worksheet gives students a chance to read and analyze an excerpt from E. Nesbit’s 1906 novel, The Railway Children. After reading the two-page excerpt, students will use what they've read to answer a series of multiple-choice and short-answer comprehension questions that touch on a variety of eighth-grade literacy skills.
