Read and Write Decimals: Standard and Word Form #1

Dial into decimals with this place value worksheet! In the first half of the worksheet, students will read decimal numbers in word form, then write the number in standard form. In the second half, learners will be given a decimal number in standard form to write in word form.

Created for fifth graders, this worksheet will help deepen students’ understanding of place value and different forms of decimal numbers. Learners will work with digits from the hundreds place down to the thousandths place as they convert numbers. This practice can build students’ knowledge of decimals and prepare them to start adding and subtracting decimal numbers.
