Worksheet

Pronoun Path: Intensive Pronouns

Gain an intense passion for intensive pronouns in this middle school grammar worksheet! In a brief introduction, students will learn what an intensive pronoun is and how it emphasizes the subject of a sentence. Then, they will be asked to solve a maze by choosing only the sentences with intensive pronouns. They’ll need to be careful, though—every sentence may have a pronoun, but there is only one path of intensive pronouns.

This worksheet was designed for sixth, seventh, and eighth graders learning about the different kinds of pronouns. They can learn how intensive pronouns are used in context and how they are different from other pronoun types, like reflexive pronouns. This knowledge can help students both better comprehend what they are reading and add emphasis to their own writing.

Keep learning about intensive pronouns with Reflexive or Intensive Pronoun? #1 and Use Intensive Pronouns. Try the paired worksheet on reflexive pronouns: Pronoun Path: Reflexive Pronouns.
