Worksheet

Prime, Composite, and Factoring Fun

Practice identifying factors with this beach-themed worksheet! To begin, students will write all of the factors for the given number. Then, using their list, they will determine whether the number is prime or composite. Prime numbers’ only factors are 1 and itself, while composite numbers have more factor pairs.

This worksheet will build fourth graders’ number sense, allowing them to become more familiar with factors, multiples, and how to identify prime and composite numbers. Awareness of factors can help prepare students to learn about greatest common factors, least common multiples, and other concepts.

Keep learning about prime and composite numbers with Rainbow Factors #1 or Factors of Prime and Composite Numbers #1.
