Worksheet

Prime and Composite Numbers to 100

Learn to identify prime and composite numbers in this guided worksheet! Students are presented with a grid of numbers 1 to 100. They will follow the instructions to color in the multiples of two, three, five, and seven, eventually coloring in all of the composite numbers. Finally, students will count the numbers left over to determine how many prime numbers there are between 1 and 100.

Designed for fourth graders, this worksheet is a great way to guide students through the identification of prime numbers. Students can use this practice to gain a better understanding of factors and multiples, and how they can be used to determine if a number is prime or composite.

Students struggling with this practice can first try Prime and Composite Numbers to 20. Students ready for more prime number practice can check out Prime Number Maze.
