Worksheet

Practicing Point of View

Use pronoun clues to figure out who’s telling the story! Fourth- and fifth-grade students identify pronouns to determine point of view on this worksheet.

The worksheet includes an explanation of the first and second person points of view and lists of pronouns. Students read two versions of one story about a birthday surprise, each written from a different point of view. Then, they answer three questions about each story and complete three sentences to form another point of view.

Keep the investigation going by having students find the hidden parts of a story and make inferences in the Reading Between the Lines worksheet.
