Picnic Bar Graph

Let the graph games begin! Second graders practice reading bar graphs and analyzing data from a bar graph on this data and graphing worksheet.

Students start by reading a bar graph showing the popularity of five common picnic games: frisbee, tag, races, horseshoes, and tug-of-war. There are five questions to answer about the information presented in the bar graph. Some of the questions require other math skills like addition and subtraction to find the solutions.

This colorful summer worksheet is a great introduction to lessons on interpreting graphs. Click on “See in a lesson” plan for tips on how to talk to students about this worksheet and to find four other graphing data worksheets for second grade.
