Pete's Pets

How does Pete have so many pets? This interactive worksheet helps second graders work on their reading comprehension as they learn about Pete and all of his pets.

Students read a four-paragraph story about Pete’s pets. Then, they read four multiple-choice questions about the story and choose the best answer for each one. By answering questions, students learn important reading comprehension strategies, like rereading the story and asking who, what, where, when, and why questions.
