Personification Poem

Write an eloquent, nature-inspired personification poem with this guided worksheet! This practice provides scaffolded opportunities for students to review and write their own examples of personification. In part one, learners will describe five natural objects using personification. Part two prompts blossoming writers to create their own free-verse poem, taking inspiration from their sentences and using at least three examples of personification.

This worksheet, tailored for seventh graders, enhances students’ language skills by having them identify, analyze, and use personification. Familiarity with figurative language can also strengthen reading comprehension skills as students begin to understand literature at a deeper level.
