Perimeter of Quarter Circles #1

Practice with perimeter in this perfect geometry worksheet! A short introduction will tell students how to solve for the perimeter of a quarter circle by dividing the circumference of the circle by four and adding two times the radius. Then, learners can calculate the perimeter of eight quarter circles on their own!

This worksheet was designed to build on seventh graders’ knowledge of finding the circumference of circles and the perimeter of shapes. Learners will need to apply a modified formula for the circumference of a circle, testing their understanding of the related concepts. Practice that requires adaptation of formulas can help prepare students to solve real-world problems using circles and sectors.
