Partial Quotient Division With Remainders: 2-Digit Numbers #1

Practice dividing two-digit dividends with the partial quotient strategy! To solve each problem, students must subtract multiples of the divisor from the dividend. When learners end up with a number smaller than the divisor, that number becomes the remainder, and the partial quotients are added up to find the answer. Students will use the remainder of each problem to solve a riddle at the end!

Geared toward fourth graders, this worksheet is intended for students who are already familiar with the partial product strategy. Throughout these problems, learners can reinforce the strategy and practice working with remainders. Long division can be a helpful way to break down problems and visualize how division works, especially as students prepare to work with larger numbers.
