Opposites #2: From Happy to Cold

What's the opposite of a hot fire? The antonym of hot might be the coolest word of all! In this worksheet, learners will need to look at the list of words, and then decide what word in the right-hand column is the opposite of a word in the left. They will then need to draw a line from each word to its antonym.

This first-grade worksheet is a fantastic activity for students working on their reading and vocabulary skills. Students can also practice critical thinking as they decide which words are opposites. This practice can set students up to formally learn about concepts like synonyms and antonyms.
