Worksheet
Novel Study: Holes: Ten Years Later
Give students the opportunity to think creatively about Louis Sachar’s Holes after they’re done reading! This two-page worksheet is a perfect activity for helping students process what they have read and show their understanding of the story’s characters. On the first page, learners will choose two characters and answer questions about what each character’s life might be like ten years after the events of the story. On page two, students will use their answers to write letters from each character to the other. This activity is a great choice for getting students engaged in character analysis and letting them do some creative writing of their own! Designed for fourth through sixth graders, this worksheet is part of a larger novel study unit on Louis Sachar’s Holes.
