Novel Study: Holes: Pre-Reading Activity

Get ready to read Louis Sachar’s Holes with this engaging pre-reading worksheet! Learners can activate and build their background knowledge on a variety of terms important to the novel. In part 1, students will choose two words from each of three categories: places, people, and concepts. They can then write what they already know about each word they picked. In part two, learners will choose one word that they want to know more about, then use their research skills to gather notes about it.
