The first page of this guide covers the first 6 chapters of the book, and the second page covers chapters 7–12. Each page provides questions to check students’ comprehension of the characters and events in the relevant chapters. Additionally, students can discuss questions that ask them to analyze aspects of the text, such as why the boys at Camp Green Lake go by nicknames rather than their real names and what receiving a nickname means for Stanley. Students will also be asked to make personal connections to certain events and themes in the chapters.
