Novel Study: Anne of Green Gables: The Story Club

After finishing the novel Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery, give students a chance to nurture their imaginations with this creative extension activity! In the novel, Anne and her friends form a story club where they “cultivate their imaginations” by writing one story a week and sharing it with the group. In this activity, students will imagine they’ve joined Anne Shirley’s story club, choosing from three prompts and developing an imaginative story. Then they’ll share their story with others, just like Anne and her friends did in the novel.
