Novel Study: Anne of Green Gables: The Name Game

After finishing the novel Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery, give students a chance to think about the names of people and places in their lives. Just as Anne renamed some of the people and places in her life using playful and descriptive language, students are asked to come up with names that are more “fitting” for people and places in their own lives and communities, explaining their reasoning as they go. This creative worksheet is a fun and engaging way to help students build their language and vocabulary skills while making personal connections to the novel.
