Novel Study: A Long Walk to Water: Community Project

After completing Linda Sue Park's novel A Long Walk to Water, help learners connect with the book with this community-based extension activity! Readers will use the inspiration of Salva Dut’s nonprofit organization, Water For South Sudan, to design and implement their own projects to serve their communities. Designed for seventh and eighth graders, this three-page worksheet guides students through the process of designing and planning a service project.
