Municipal Elected Officials Graphic Organizer

What is a city council? A mayor? A city manager? How do they get into office? Invite middle school students to explore these kinds of questions and more with this municipal elected officials graphic organizer! Municipalities are local governments. They make laws for and provide services to villages, towns, and cities.

In this civics and government worksheet, learners will explore the roles of municipal legislators, mayors, and city managers. Students are asked to conduct research in order to record what each role is, how they get into office, and some of the powers each position holds.
