Multiply Using Strip Models: Word Problems

Put your multiplication skills to the test in real-world situations! This worksheet consists of six word problems that describe situations with multiple equal groups of something, such as cards, pancakes, and crabs. Learners will need to interpret each word problem, write and solve a corresponding multiplication equation, then create a strip model that visually represents the problem. 

This worksheet is designed to help third and fourth graders elevate their multiplication skills. Strip models are a good strategy students can use to better understand multiplication problems and organize their thoughts about what a word problem is asking.
