Make Ten to Add With Number Bonds: Part 2

Practice a helpful strategy for adding single-digit numbers in this worksheet, the second entry in a scaffolded series! Students can use the strategy they learned in part one to draw a number bond and break apart the smaller addend in each equation. They’ll rewrite the equation using the ten they created, then solve!

This series is perfect for teaching students in first and second grade how to make ten to solve addition with regrouping. In this worksheet, learners receive less direction than in part one, slowly preparing them to solve addition problems entirely on their own! As they complete this worksheet, students will also practice their addition fact fluency.
