Make Ten to Add #2

Learn to break apart numbers and form 10 in this helpful addition worksheet! In each of these six problems, students will break apart the second addend in the equation to form a 10 with the first addend. Then, they’ll write down the new addition fact they have created and use it to find the sum. 

This worksheet is perfect for first graders as they learn strategies to make addition easier. This skill can not only help students accurately perform addition, but it can also improve students’ understanding of how numbers can be composed and decomposed to simplify math equations.
