Independence Day Number Puzzle

Celebrate an important American holiday while you work on your math operations! Students will be asked to find the value of a set of Independence Day–themed symbols by solving for them in four equations. In two challenge problems, learners will substitute in the values they found for the symbols and use order of operations to evaluate the expressions. 

This fifth-grade worksheet is a great choice for helping students practice their skills in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in a way that is fun and engaging.
