Identify Verbs: Cut and Paste Sort

Dig, play, and hop with this hands-on verb sorting worksheet! Early readers will cut out 12 sentences and read each one. Once they have determined if the bolded word is a verb or not, students will paste the sentence into the correct column.

This worksheet will prepare students to identify verbs in sentences and use verbs while writing. Practicing verbs in context will prepare kindergarteners and first graders for learning about verb tenses and types in later lessons. The decodable words make the worksheet easy for kindergarten students to complete independently, as well.
