Worksheet

Identify Terms and Coefficients

Build your knowledge of algebra vocabulary with this helpful worksheet! In the first section, learners will have to look at an algebraic expression, then determine the number of terms it contains and list the coefficients. For an extra challenge, learners will be given a number of terms and a list of coefficients; they’ll need to write an expression that has that many terms and uses those coefficients!

This worksheet is perfect for sixth graders beginning to learn about algebra and the language they’ll need to know in order to discuss it. A strong understanding of what these words mean can set students up to more easily grasp more advanced concepts, such as evaluating and factoring algebraic expressions.
