Worksheet

Identify Producers and Consumers

Learn the difference between producers and consumers in this economics worksheet! Students will first read an introduction explaining that producers make goods or provide services, while consumers purchase goods and services. Then, learners will read five examples and decide who the producer and consumer are in each situation. In the final part, students will complete sentences by writing either “consumer” or “producer.”

This worksheet is perfect for fourth and fifth graders being introduced to basic economic concepts. An understanding of the roles of producers and consumers can help students better grasp their own role in the economy and more easily learn about concepts such as supply and demand.
