Hispanic Heritage Month: Honoring Hispanic Americans

Learn about the history and cultures of Hispanic Americans to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month! In this informational passage, learners will read about the purpose of Hispanic Heritage Month and some different ways that people celebrate it. They’ll also learn about music and food from Spanish-speaking countries and Hispanic and Latino Americans who have made their mark on history. Then, they’ll answer a series of comprehension questions about what they just read. 

This worksheet was designed to introduce middle school students to the rich history and cultures of Hispanic Americans. Students can gain a richer understanding of U.S. history while they practice vital reading and writing skills such as using textual evidence to support their opinions.
