Future Perfect Verbs: Race to the Finish

Declare victory over future perfect tense in this sports-themed worksheet! Learners will first read the introduction, which tells them what future perfect tense is and how to use it, alongside examples of future perfect verbs. Then, in part one, students will choose which verb out of three choices correctly completes each future perfect sentence. In the second part, learners will write the correct future perfect verb on their own. 

This worksheet is intended to help fifth through eighth graders better understand the function of future perfect tense. While future perfect is not one of the most common tenses, a strong knowledge of it can help students use and comprehend it whenever they need to, making them better readers and writers.
