Worksheet

Fun With -ou and -ow

Practice reading and writing words like mouse, brown, and cloud in this colorful phonics worksheet! In the first two sections, learners will need to fill in the blanks by spelling the words that describe the pictures. Then, students can read each sentence with ou and ow words and draw a picture to match. Lastly, students will be asked to write a sentence using one or more ou or ow words.

This worksheet is a great choice for first and second graders learning to spell and read words with diphthong vowel pairs. Students can not only review words they already know, but also strengthen their understanding of common spelling patterns so they can read and write new ou and ow words.
