Fraction Match: Number Lines

Have fun with fractions in this colorful third-grade worksheet! Students will be presented with eight partially-shaded figures that show fractions. They will need to write the fraction that matches the shaded part of each figure, then match the fraction with the number line that shows the same fraction. 

This worksheet is great practice for students learning about the different ways to show fractions. While young mathematicians may be familiar and even comfortable with fractions represented in figures and pictures, it is important that they can also match fractions to where they would fall on a number line. This skill can improve students’ number sense and their ability to put fractions in context of the numbers around them.
