Worksheet
Forms of Energy at an Amusement Park
Take a science-filled trip to an amusement park in this third-grade worksheet! Students will study the image, then write down examples of energy of motion, sound energy, heat energy, light energy, and electrical energy. Then, learners are asked to identify an element in the image that shows more than one form of energy.
Learning to identify forms of energy in a real-world context can help make this abstract concept more approachable for students. Energy is all around us, whether we know it or not! Students will gain a deeper understanding of energy as they think critically about how each form is demonstrated. Looking at scenarios through a scientific lens can be beneficial as students learn more about how the world around us works.
