Worksheet
Food Chains
Have fun learning about food chains in this charming science worksheet! Students will first read an introduction that tells them about producers and three types of consumers: primary, secondary, and tertiary. Then, learners will match organisms to the food chain term that describes them. Finally, they’ll answer two questions about how a change in one animal population might affect another animal population.
This worksheet was designed for fourth and fifth graders learning about the interactions between producers and consumers in an ecosystem. Students can gain a better understanding of how matter and energy move from one organism to another. They will also practice using critical thinking to draw conclusions and defend their perspective.
