Find the Tricky Rhymes #1

Keep your phonics skills in mind as you find each of the rhyming pairs in this engaging worksheet! Students will need to read 12 sets of words and identify the rhyming pair in each. The rhyming pairs have the same ending sounds but are spelled differently, making them tricky to track down! In the challenge problem, students can write their own rhyming pair. 

This worksheet is a great choice for helping first and second graders strengthen their phonemic awareness. Learners can consider the sounds that different spelling patterns make, improving their ability to decode unfamiliar words and recognize complex vowel diphthongs and digraphs.
